To change the spark plugs I had to remove the engine cover, so while trying to remove the allen screws that secure the engine cover of my 97 maxima, (with an allen wrench) I ended up breaking 3 of them inside the engine cover. Do you know of a way to get them out? I heard of easy-out screw extractor, if that is something you recommend then do you have any suggestions on how to use it. Thanks

Why are my indicators blinking too fast?
None of the bulbs are burnt out, but both sides front and back all blink so fast that they barely turn off at all. I%26#039;ve tried cleaning off the contact points on two of them, but that didn%26#039;t help. It%26#039;s a %26#039;75 Mercedes, so I really don%26#039;t want to go buying four new bulbs only to find that they weren%26#039;t the problem.

not an expert on cars but just buy one bulb, and replace the old bulbs one at a time, and see if the rapid flashing stops after changing each one! that way you%26#039;ll find the bad one!
or if you changed the bulbs the same time last time, maybe they are failing the same time! if that don%26#039;t work go to a garage and ask them to take a look at it as indicator lights flashing to fast is illegal! (in UK)

Reply:It could be anything really but here are a few things the Voltage could be wrong, The self life of the Bulb could be a problem in some type of bulbs. I had put %26quot;new%26quot; bulbs into my Camaro and with in 2 days the left bulb died. They just told me sometime bulbs do that. And the pnly other answer i can come up with is usually when they blink like that it means the bulbs are dying... sometimes the %26quot;idiot lights%26quot; dont reset correctly. Blinkers are in the system just like the rest of the indicators.

I hit someone%26#039;s parked car the other day...a cooworker actually, and she agreed to work out the payment without insurance companies...
I only damaged her bumper, and she needs a front end alignment. also there were some paint scratches on the back of her car.
She took it to maaco and they said she needs to replace the bumper.
All total, for a replacement bumper, spot painting, and the front end alignment costs $1250 and they need to keep it for 7 days. Is this a realistic price?

you shouldnt need an alignment if you only scratched the bumper on a parked car?...but for a new bumper, painted and everything should only cost around 7 or 800

I would say that is a pretty reasonable price due to the fact it needs a new bumper and the alignment is what cost the most.

HELP PLease, Just got starter fixed and new flywheel BUT...?
Now my car wont turn over it sounds strong mechanic said it could be the module(???) or something someone told me the module is something to do with the starter, is this mechanic respossible just got starter and fly wheel last week and now my engine wont turn over is he a crook ??/

Stop trying to turn it on.... has it been long since the incident occurred? If not let it sit a day or two in the sun, if you are lucky it will dry out and if does not show any improvement, you probably flooded it and might have totaled it. This happened to me a month ago, I opened the hood, took the air filter out and let it dry out for a day, then I tried it again and it worked.

if your battery has 12 volts and the wires are tight at the starter have someone try starting it while you hit the starter with a hammer[not too hard]

If you%26#039;re a do-it-yourself kinda person, you could take the starter off, disassemble it and blow compressed air on all the parts to get it good %26amp; dry. I%26#039;ve never worked on that starter, but they%26#039;re all pretty much the same.
It%26#039;ll probably dry out eventually if left alone, but corrosion might set in, then it%26#039;s just a matter of time.
Reply:how deep was it? if it went down the air intake, then you prob have an hydraulic lock- remove sparkplugs and try to spin it over to clean out the water. If no spin, then get a socket and tool and try to turn the motor via the crankshaft front nut-if it won%26#039;t turn, you%26#039;ve prob seized/warped the motor. check the starter motor if it does freeup, if it%26#039;s old it may just need new brushes/a recon job. Not too expensive.

Hello. My mower was running great, now it just cranks and cranks when cold. Eventually it will sputter to life and run fine. I can even shut it off and restart it and it%26#039;s fine. But everytime it%26#039;s cold, it has to crank and crank a long time to sputter to life. Any ideas?
